Dr. Nitin Nick Patel is a board-certified Urologist with expertise and experience in the following:

Prior to joining Partners in Urology of NJ, he served as Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in the Division of Urology. He also served as chair for the Robotics Committee while pioneering the use of robotic surgery at University Hospital for reconstruction and transgender surgery.
Dr. Patel graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2001 with honors, earning a degree in chemical biology and a minor in philosophy. He then went on to graduate from UMDNJ on a full scholarship, earning his doctorate in medicine in 2005. He also completed his surgical and urologic residency at UMDNJ/Rutgers in 2010. He has co-authored several articles on trauma and stones. He is currently working on a database for minimally invasive prostate surgery and transgender surgery, and working on publications on these topics. He has presented nationally on topics including prostate cancer, male sexual dysfunction, robotic surgery, and transgender surgery.
He currently resides locally with his wife and son. He speaks fluent Spanish and Gujarati and is also able to speak Hindi. His outside passions include cooking and hiking. Dr. Patel proudly serves patients at our Somerville office.
