Katherine Shapiro, MD

Dr. Shapiro specializes in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She pays attention to each patient’s needs to create an individualized treatment plan. She offers a variety of medical and surgical options for female genitourinary conditions. She believes that female pelvic health often involves other specialists to achieve the best results, including gastroenterology, physical therapy, and colorectal surgery. She hopes to create a safe and comfortable place for patients to discuss their urologic and gynecologic concerns.

Dr. Shapiro’s clinical interests include female urinary incontinence, robotic & minimally invasive surgery, pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder, voiding dysfunction, genitourinary syndrome of menopause, female genital fistula, postpartum incontinence, and pelvic pain. She proudly works with patients at our urology offices in Somerville and Hillsborough.
